Este navio flutua em terra seca, é um navio sonoro. Ele balança numa jornada sem fim, rumo ao outro mundo. Tentando reconciliar-se com o invisível, com as almas daqueles que vieram antes de nós. O capitão é a música, a mulher é o vento e o seu sopro anima este estranho piano-barco; os três são instrumentos de passagem e transmissores-recetores indissociáveis.
“RUBATO” é um termo musical italiano, que significa voar ou subtilizar, tocar ritmicamente com toda a liberdade disponível, para o intérprete a sua parte de livre-arbítrio.
This ship floats on dry land, it is a sound ship. It pitches in an endless journey, to the other world. Attempting to reconcile with the invisible, with the souls of those who went before us. The captain is music, the woman is wind, her breath animates this strange piano-boat; All three, instruments of passage, inextricable transmitter-transceivers.
“RUBATO” is an Italian musical term, literally: “fly or subtilize” but in music: to play rhythmically with all the freedom available to an interpreter: his share of free will.
